Thoddhu health post was opened on 2003. Health care in Thoddhu is provided by community health worker, medical officer, 2 Family Health Workers and a 3 Foolhuma (trained traditional birth attendant).latter in 22nd march 2004 health post was change as a health center. In order to improve services Thodhoo extension building was started (consolation room, laboratory, and store) 2006 finessed same year. year 13th January 2007 laboratory services started

Standard of living and Economic status.
The main occupation of the people of Thoddhu is agriculture. The island has 10 transport vessels which travel to Male’ for cargo and passenger lifting. It has 12 retail shops.

Education
Thoddhu School was opened on 17 June 1992. In the year 2007, a total of 340 pupils were studying in the school. Highest qualification obtainable is upto Grade 10.
