Victim of gang violence admitted in Male’

A minor who got injured badly in Gnaviyani atoll Fuvamulah gang violence was brought to the capital Male’ on Saturday for further treatment.

16-year-old Mohamed Razeen was at first admitted at Gnaviyani Fuvamulah atoll hospital, and later transferred to Seenu atoll (Addu atoll) Hithadhoo regional hospital.

Speaking to Haveeru daily, the victim’s father Abdulla Ibrahim said he was transferred in a chartered flight to Male’ due to the critical condition.

“In this incident, his large intestine cut severely,” he explained. “He can’t eat or drink, so the doctors recommended to transfer his to Male’ for further treatment.”

Razeen gained conscious after getting treatment at Seenu atoll Hithadhoo regional hospital, he said adding the victim is getting recovered.

During the violence between a gang from Dhoondigamu yard and Hoadhadu yard from the island, a 23-year-old man was also got killed.
